AMD FirePro W4300 Graphics Card

03.12.2015

AMD introduced the AMD FirePro W4300 graphics card for computer-aided design (CAD) systems, which can be installed in both compact workstations (SFF) and tower cases. The AMD FirePro W4300 combines a GPU and 4GB of GDDR5 memory in a low-profile board, making it suitable for both SFF and full-size systems. Now organizations can simplify the process of managing their IT assets by choosing the same high-performance graphics solution for all types of workstations, the company stressed.

The AMD FirePro W4300 professional graphics card is optimized for the latest CAD applications including Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit, Dassault Systemes Solidworks and CATIA, PTC Creo, Siemens NX and many more. Engineering professionals can work with large geometric models using GPU acceleration mechanisms for their projects, such as the new Order Independent Transparency (OIT) mode in Solidworks. Users have the opportunity to increase their productivity by visualizing workflows on 6 displays, as well as working with resolutions up to 4K and even 5K.

"We designed the AMD FirePro W4300 specifically for CAD," said Sean Burke, vice president and general manager of the Radeon Technologies Group at AMD. applications, as well as help visualize the design that has been developed, all of which can now be done without compromise on the latest energy-efficient small form factor workstations."

The AMD FirePro W4300 is powered by the AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture to help improve performance and improve resource utilization.

Among the main features of the new card: 4 GB GDDR5 GPU memory for large projects - provide increased application responsiveness; four DisplayPort 1.2a interfaces (supporting up to 6 displays via an MST hub) and AMD FreeSync technology - enable the GPU to control the screen refresh rate, non-linear image refresh required for multimedia and entertainment applications and workflows; Certification for over 100 different applications - Guarantees improved performance (including popular design and engineering solutions, as well as multimedia and entertainment applications; AMD FirePro professional graphics drivers are updated several times a year, offering users new features and providing increased performance ).

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

Energy from space for Starship 08.05.2024

Producing solar energy in space is becoming more feasible with the advent of new technologies and the development of space programs. The head of the startup Virtus Solis shared his vision of using SpaceX's Starship to create orbital power plants capable of powering the Earth. Startup Virtus Solis has unveiled an ambitious project to create orbital power plants using SpaceX's Starship. This idea could significantly change the field of solar energy production, making it more accessible and cheaper. The core of the startup's plan is to reduce the cost of launching satellites into space using Starship. This technological breakthrough is expected to make solar energy production in space more competitive with traditional energy sources. Virtual Solis plans to build large photovoltaic panels in orbit, using Starship to deliver the necessary equipment. However, one of the key challenges ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Time in nature is perceived differently 06.04.2024

In today's world, saturated with technology and the fast pace of life, the perception of time plays a key role in our daily experience. However, new research by scientists has revealed that our perception of time can change significantly depending on the environment around us. This impact is especially noticeable from nature.

A study led by psychologist Ricardo Correia from the University of Turku in Finland found an interesting connection between our perception of time and exposure to natural environments. Scientists have found that time seems to pass slower when we are outdoors, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Walking through the countryside or spending time in green parks creates the feeling that time is increasing. This effect of nature extends not only to current moments, but also to our perception of the past and future. Through contact with nature, we become less prone to instant gratification, preferring long-term goals.

Why does nature have such an impact on our perception of time? This is due to the many benefits that come from being in a natural environment. Scientists note that nature helps reduce anxiety, improve sleep and overall well-being. These factors influence how we perceive the past, present and future.

However, access to nature is not always easy, especially for city dwellers. Creating green spaces in urban areas is becoming increasingly important to make the benefits of nature available to everyone. For those who don't have access to nature often, other strategies can help, such as time-use audits or reducing time spent on digital devices.

Nature has a significant impact on our perception of time and overall well-being. Understanding this connection can help us manage our time more effectively and strive for a more balanced lifestyle.
