Compact dishwasher does not require electricity

A more or less normal dishwasher costs at least 300 USD, which is not so cheap, especially for students. That is why an Israeli student named Chen Levin came up with a dishwasher that does not use electronics and electricity.

In a sense, Levin "invented the wheel," as his machine, called the Circo, is powered by a crank that resembles a bicycle pedal. The idea of the mechanism is similar to a conventional dishwasher, since Circo has something like a centrifuge that sprays water from below. The inventor keeps the details of the design a secret due to the fact that he intends to attract investments and commercialize the device. However, according to him, it takes one minute to wash a full rack of dishes.

The stand is a conventional dish dryer, which is placed inside the device on a base filled with water. Sodium acetate tablets, commonly used in households as a component of chemical heating pads or heaters, should be added to the water to be heated, which also helps with cleaning dishes. Unlike a conventional dishwasher, which consumes about 10 liters of water, the Circo uses only 3 liters.
