The American company SiPix has released a pocket photo printer. By connecting a digital camera to the printer, you can immediately print the pictures accumulated in its memory about the size of a pocket calendar or smaller, for example, a document.

The dimensions of the printer itself are slightly larger than a pack of cigarettes, weight without batteries is 300 grams. Printing one picture takes about 95 seconds. True, those who have tested the new device say that the battery consumption is high, but if you print several pictures, you can use the AC adapter.

Found the closest black hole to us 23.09.2022

An international team of scientists studied 168065 stars and found that one of them orbits a black hole. Now it is the closest black hole to the solar system. In addition, the researchers suggest that there are other dormant black holes lurking nearby that we have not yet discovered.

An international team of astrophysicists in search of black holes studied the trajectory of the stars in the Milky Way. Using data from the European Space Agency's Gaia Observatory, scientists studied all 168 stars they thought had companions.

The star Gaia DR3 4373465352415301632 (abbreviated as Gaia BH1) especially attracted their attention. After studying its movement, scientists found that the star revolves around a small black hole, the mass of which is 10 times the mass of the Sun (almost the minimum possible mass of a black hole).

To confirm the find, the scientists analyzed the motion of Gaia BH1 with other telescopes, studying how the gravity of other bodies affects the star. This confirmed the suspicions of scientists, because Gaia BH1 is apparently influenced by another comic body.

Scientists believe they have found the first black hole in the Milky Way that we haven't detected with its X-rays or other energetic releases.

According to simulations, there are 100 million black holes in our galaxy, of which we have detected only 20. Until now, this has been due to X-rays that appear when a black hole "devours" a companion star. Scientists believe that their study is the first of many to be made based on the analysis of the motion of the star.
