Paleontologist John Horner from the University of Montana (USA) believes that there are too many dinosaurs. About a thousand species are now known, and an average of two more appear every month. Horner believes that at least 50 dinosaur species are simply different age stages of other species.

Michael Benton from the University of Bristol (Great Britain) believes that there are much more such "fake" types of pangolins - a good half. It is flattering for every paleontologist to become the discoverer of a new species, therefore, they take into account such signs as the length of a particular bone, the shape of the skull and bone outgrowths on it, the number of teeth, and all these features, like in modern animals, change with age.
