How to protect yourself from sea robbers

Japanese designers are developing ways to protect against the attacks of sea pirates, which suffer ships in Southeast Asia.

The Togapotop system (translated as "tiger cage") reacts to the hit of metal hooks, which are the main weapon of pirates, on the deck of the ship. When hit by such hooks, the wire stretched along the sides bends or breaks, as a result of which a system of mirrors and fiber optic cables is activated, and a powerful searchlight is turned on, illuminating the place of attack.

Another system - Seajack Alarm - is based on the use of satellite tracking of the location of ships, speed and direction of movement.

Since the coronavirus pandemic has been with us for quite a long time, there were craftsmen in the world who decided to slightly modernize this accessory so that, for example, you can eat in it.

Yes, it is obvious that sane people are unlikely to do this in those places where you can pick up something, but this is not about today, but about the near future, when such properties of masks can really come in handy. This concept was developed by employees of the Israeli company Avtipus Patents and Inventions.

A special switch is attached to the mask, by pressing on which it can be opened at the right time. So far, this mask is easy to use with solid food, but sauces and ice cream can be a problem.

At the moment, the company has only filed a patent for the development, but its employees are preparing to launch mass production soon and promise that the mask will open automatically when a cutlery is brought to it.

Employees at Avtipus Patents and Inventions do not see their mask as something funny and claim that with the help of their product, people will feel calmer in restaurants and other public places for the first time after the threat of the virus subsides.
