Olive oil as a pain reliever

Australian and American pharmacists have discovered the compound oleocanthal in olive oil, which has the same analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect as the drug ibuprofen, used for arthritis, myalgia, and toothache.

True, 50 milliliters of olive oil relieve pain 10 times weaker than the usual dose of ibuprofen, but there are no side effects. Olive oil also acts as a cancer and stroke prevention.

It is believed that a regular diet of olive oil and olives, as is customary in the Mediterranean countries, improves the health of the heart and blood vessels.

GPS systems will soon be updated with a new generation of navigation tools based on the principles of quantum physics. The US military and several US labs are working on new quantum navigators that could completely change global search engines from the need for satellites.

A quantum navigator is a small diamond cube, where nitrogen atoms are present in an ordinary carbon lattice. When a green laser passes through the cube, these nitrogen patches emit red light, the intensity of which depends on the strength and direction of the magnetic field that is currently affecting the cube.

When calibrated for patterns in the Earth's magnetic field, the device can be used in a GPS system, while completely cutting it off from satellites that are susceptible to hacking from outside.

How it works? The diamond is able to detect anomalies in the Earth's magnetic field, and their location has already been accurately mapped during previous studies. Once the device detects an anomaly, it can use it as a navigational guide. Now ships and aircraft do not use such a system, since most magnetic sensors can only measure the strength of the field, but not its vector. But the new device can, and it doesn't need any external connection to do so.

True, reality, as usual, makes its own adjustments. While the new devices are very large, it will take many years to calibrate them and improve their accuracy. In addition, quantum devices will not replace conventional devices, but rather complement them, and the average consumer will most likely not notice any difference between them.
