Employees of the National Institute for Agricultural Research in Avignon (France) showed that tomatoes ripened in natural conditions are not only tastier, but also healthier.

They have more vitamin C and carotenoids. But if for some reason you have to remove the fruits from the bush ahead of time, then they should not ripen in the dark, but in the light, at 18-25 degrees Celsius. Then the content of useful substances is close to normal.

The press service specifies that scientists are going to create a working prototype within a year. The developers are also thinking about how to introduce the device into the healthcare system.
