Wireless speaker Sony SRS-XV900

Sony introduced the SRS-XV900 wireless speaker. It is claimed to be the most powerful and loudest speaker in the brand's X-series of wireless speakers. The audio device has premium features and price.

The Party Bluetooth Speaker is part of the "Live Life Loud" program, which aims to provide music fans with engaging audio entertainment.

Column dimensions - 410 mm x 880 mm x 439 mm, weight 26,6 kg. The column is equipped with a convenient built-in handle and wheels, which makes it easy for users to move the column. On the top panel of the speaker are touch buttons to control music playback and lighting settings. The audio unit also has ambient lighting in all directions.

The Sony SRS-XV900 is a 4-way bass reflex speaker. It is equipped with six tweeters at the front, side and rear, delivering omnidirectional party sound. There's an X-Balanced speaker and Jet Bass Booster for deep, punchy bass. The first has a rectangular aperture to increase the coverage area. The entire speaker system is advertised to deliver crystal clear sound with excellent voice quality from any angle.

TV Sound Booster improves TV sound. This allows users to enjoy enhanced audiovisual content such as live performance videos. The audio device allows users to enjoy karaoke by connecting a microphone. There is also an input for a microphone and guitar, and the speaker can be used as an amplifier. Speaker connectivity options include a stereo mini jack, USB-A, optical digital input, and a quick pair of Bluetooth.

The new speaker provides a 25-hour battery life, and 10 minutes of recharging provides 3 hours of playback. There is a battery care mode that prevents overcharging. Users can also charge a depleted smartphone by connecting it to the speaker. With the Fiestable, users can control features such as gesture control and DJ Control.

Super strong carbon nanotube film 15.02.2016

Scientists from the East China Polytechnic University (PRC) have developed a method for obtaining a super-strong film from carbon nanotubes.

Making a film from carbon nanotubes required a technology similar to glass blowing. After blowing with heating, the nanotubes were pulled through rollers and wound onto a drum, and the higher the winding speed, the stronger the film.

As a result of the experiments, it was possible to achieve a film tensile strength of 9,6 gigapascals. For example, a carbon fiber film can boast a tensile strength of only 7 gigapascals, and a Kevlar film - even half as much, 3,7 gigapascals. Carbon film is four times more flexible than Kevlar and can stretch 8% of its length compared to 2% for Kevlar.

Among other features of the new material is electrical conductivity, which will allow it to be used in the production of ultra-thin coatings, protective clothing and even in medicine.
