Removing scratches from a car with sunlight

15.08.2022

The appearance of scratches on the car is inevitable. They spoil the overall look and you have to turn to specialists to eliminate them. However, thanks to the development of Korean scientists, everything will soon be possible to do independently and without much difficulty.

Specialists have created an innovative tool that needs to be applied to a scratch and put the car in the sun. After half an hour, the scratch will disappear. According to the inventors, this material contains a polymer network based on acrylic polyol. Under the influence of infrared rays, a chemical reaction occurs, restoring minor damage at the site of application of the product.

The regeneration process can be accelerated. To do this, you need to use concentrated light. Take, for example, a magnifying glass. In this case, the waiting time can be reduced to 30 seconds.

The team of creators noted that the tool has a transparent texture, so there is no need to match it to the color of the car. The novelty will go into production in the near future.

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

New method for creating powerful batteries 08.05.2024

With the development of technology and the expanding use of electronics, the issue of creating efficient and safe energy sources is becoming increasingly urgent. Researchers at the University of Queensland have unveiled a new approach to creating high-power zinc-based batteries that could change the landscape of the energy industry. One of the main problems with traditional water-based rechargeable batteries was their low voltage, which limited their use in modern devices. But thanks to a new method developed by scientists, this drawback has been successfully overcome. As part of their research, scientists turned to a special organic compound - catechol. It turned out to be an important component that can improve battery stability and increase its efficiency. This approach has led to a significant increase in the voltage of zinc-ion batteries, making them more competitive. According to scientists, such batteries have several advantages. They have b ... >>

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Chip IR25750L for current measurement 27.12.2014

IR25750L is a new solution from International Rectifier for measuring current without the use of additional sensors. The microcircuit measures the voltage drop on the open channel resistance of the MOSFET or the saturation voltage of the IGBT transistor, which acts as a key element for controlling the power in the load.

The IR25750L eliminates the need for a current sense resistor or other expensive sensors, increasing overall system efficiency and saving PCB space. The microcircuit can be used to build current protection in electric drive systems, induction heating and other industrial systems.

IR25750L does not require additional external power - the gate input (GATE) not only provides synchronization of the moments of measuring the voltage drop on the power transistor with its open state, but also provides the necessary power to the microcircuit. Thanks to the use of advanced high-voltage technologies of the International Rectifier, the microcircuit provides blocking of the high-voltage input voltage of the transistor (up to 600 V) from the low-voltage part of the circuit during periods of the closed state of the transistor.

Other advantages of the new microcircuit are the low capacitance of the GATE input and the built-in circuit for the formation of an internal time delay (about 200 ns) after the appearance of an active signal at the GATE input - to ensure the full opening of the power transistor before starting to measure the voltage on it. The GATE and CS pins are protected by internal 20,8V clamping diodes.

When building power systems that require more accurate current measurement, it is possible to install an external programmable temperature compensation circuit. Built-in ESD protection and excellent latch immunity on all pins provide the industrial IC IR25750L with a high degree of integrated protection.
