Rectifier (Fig. 1) assembled in a bridge circuit on four diodes D1 - D4 type D305. The charging current is regulated. using a powerful transistor T1 connected according to the compound triode circuit. When changing the bias taken to the base of the triode from the potentiometer R1, the resistance of the collector-emitter circuit of the transistor changes. In this case, the charging current can be changed from 25 mA to 6 A at a voltage at the rectifier output from 1,5 to 14 V.

Resistor R2 at the output of the rectifier allows you to set the output voltage of the rectifier when the load is off. The transformer is assembled on a core with a cross section of 6 cm2. The primary winding is designed to be connected to a network with a voltage of 127 V (pins 1-2) or 220 V (1-3) and contains 350 + 325 turns of PEV 0,35 wire, the secondary - 45 turns of PEV 1,5 wire. Transistor T1 is mounted on a metal heat sink, the surface area of the heat sink must be at least 350 cm2. The surface is taken into account on both sides of the plate with a thickness of at least 3 mm.

The scheme shown in fig. 2, differs from the previous one in that in order to increase the maximum current to 10 o, transistors T1 and T2 are connected in parallel. The bias to the bases of transistors, by changing which the charging current is regulated, is removed from the rectifier, made on diodes D5 - D6. When charging 6-volt batteries, the switch is set to position 1, 12-volt batteries - to position 2.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

graphene masks 19.09.2020

A team of chemical and material engineering specialists from the University of Hong Kong presented the results of their truly extraordinary research on the development of lighter, better and more effective antibacterial masks against bacteria of various kinds. In particular, today it became known that a team of specialists managed to present not just a new format of masks as such, but a conceptually new technical basis for their development, and we are talking about the use of graphene as a basis that gets rid of bacteria. Given all the previous research, it becomes clear that they will succeed.

Early research on the use of graphene as a basis for killing most of the known harmful bacteria showed that the material actually has such properties only if it is obtained as a thin layer on a polyamide film, by applying carbon dioxide to it, with assisted by an infrared laser system. It is this approach that makes it possible to achieve not only a sufficiently dense layer of graphene on the surface of a polyamide film, but also to make it as resistant as possible to the absolute majority of bacteria.

Thus, by optimizing this process, specialists from Hong Kong were able to create a new approach to the production of antibacterial masks with graphene as the main antibacterial component, and conduct appropriate tests - it turned out that the presence of graphene is an ideal condition for getting rid of the vast majority of harmful bacteria, even for a long time. time after using the mask.

On the other hand, scientists talk about the need to deal with the optimization of the process of creating graphene masks based on more compact and easily accessible materials as accurately and correctly as possible, but for such an approach, it is necessary to take seriously the optimization of the process as such. Thus, it remains only to wait for the end of the current stage of development and the first detailed plans of specialists to present a universal system for the development of graphene masks.
