2.3.134. When laying cable lines in industrial premises, the following requirements must be met:

1. Cables must be accessible for repair, and openly laid cables for inspection.

Cables (including armored ones) located in places where mechanisms, equipment, cargo and transport are moved must be protected from damage in accordance with the requirements given in 2.3.15.

2. The clear distance between the cables must correspond to that given in Table. 2.3.1.

3. The distance between parallel power cables and all kinds of pipelines, as a rule, must be at least 0,5 m, and between gas pipelines and pipelines with flammable liquids - at least 1 m. At shorter distances of approach and at intersections, the cables must be protected from mechanical damage (metal pipes, casings, etc.) throughout the approach area plus 0,5 m on each side, and, if necessary, are protected from overheating.

Cable crossings of passages must be carried out at a height of at least 1,8 m from the floor.

Parallel laying of cables above and below oil pipelines and pipelines with flammable liquid in a vertical plane is not allowed.

2.3.135. Laying cables in the floor and interfloor ceilings should be carried out in channels or pipes; sealing cables tightly in them is not allowed. The passage of cables through ceilings and internal walls can be made in pipes or openings; after laying the cables, the gaps in the pipes and openings must be sealed with an easily pierced non-combustible material.

Laying cables in ventilation ducts is prohibited. It is allowed to cross these channels with single cables enclosed in steel pipes.

Open cable laying in stairwells is not allowed.

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog ​​owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. A new form of laboratory meat has been developed 14.03.2024

McMaster University scientists have introduced a new form of lab-grown meat using an innovative method designed to provide an alternative to traditional animal products with a high degree of similarity in texture and taste.

Ravi Selvaganapathy and Alireza Shaheen-Shamsabadi from the university's School of Bioengineering have developed a method for creating meat by forming thin leaves of cultured muscle and fat cells grown in a laboratory setting.

These leaves of living cells, comparable in thickness to regular paper, are first grown in test tubes and then concentrated onto growth plates, peeled off and stacked. The process of cell fusion occurs before they die.

Thanks to this technology, the harvesting of leaves allows the meat to be formed into pieces of varying thicknesses and filled with fat in the required proportions, which distinguishes this method from other alternatives.

Scientists were able to create a sample of meat from available mouse cell lines, and also prepare it for tasting. They claim that in appearance and taste this meat is no different from ordinary meat.

A McMaster University study breaks new ground in food production by offering a promising approach to creating lab-grown meat that could be an effective alternative to traditional protein sources.
