1.8.26. The scope and standards for testing equipment connected to the busbar and busbar (generator, power and instrument transformers, etc.) are given in the relevant paragraphs of this chapter.

1. Power frequency high voltage test.

The test voltage of the insulation of the current conductor with the disconnected windings of the generator, power voltage transformers is set according to Table. 1.8.24.

The duration of application of the normalized test voltage to the conductor is 1 min.

2. Checking the quality of bolted and welded joints.

Selectively check the tightness of the bolted connections of the busbar, selective disassembly of 1-2 bolted connections of the busbar is carried out in order to check the quality of the contact connections.

Welded joints are subject to inspection in accordance with the instructions for aluminum welding or, if an appropriate installation is available, to control by X-ray or gamma flaw detection or by another method recommended by the manufacturer.

3. Checking the condition of the insulating gaskets.

It is produced for current conductors, the shells of which are isolated from the supporting metal structures. Checking the integrity of the insulating gaskets is carried out by comparative measurements of the voltage drop on the insulating gaskets of the phase section or by measuring the current passing in the metal structures between the sections' beds. Criteria for the absence of short-circuited circuits in the conductors of the generator voltage are given in Table. 1.8.25.

4. Inspection and testing of the device for artificial cooling of the conductor.

Produced according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Conductor design Checked node Condition evaluation criterion Note
With continuous screens Insulation of screens or conductor ducts from the transformer and generator case when:
- a continuous air gap (slot) between the conductor screens and the generator housing; Absence of a metallic circuit between the screens and the generator case. By visual inspection
- one-sided insulation of seals of screens and conductor ducts from the body of the transformer and generator; The integrity of the insulating sleeves, the absence of contact with the surfaces of the screens or boxes (in places of insulation) of the transformer and generator cases. By visual inspection
- double-sided insulation of the seals of removable screens and current ducts connected to the transformer and generator casing. The insulation resistance of the removable screen or box relative to the transformer and generator case with the tie rods and grounding conductors dismantled must be at least 10 kOhm Measured with a megaohmmeter for a voltage of 500 V
Sectioned Insulation of rubber compensators of current conductor screens from the transformer and generator case. The clear gap between the bolts of adjacent pressure rings of the rubber compensator must be at least 5 mm. By visual inspection
Insulation of rubber seals for removable and movable screens. The resistance of the screen insulation relative to metal structures when the tie rods are dismantled must be at least 10 kOhm Measured with a megaohmmeter for a voltage of 500 V
All types with double layer screen bed gaskets Insulating gaskets for screen frames The insulation resistance of gaskets relative to metal structures must be at least 10 kOhm 1. Measured with a megaohmmeter for a voltage of 500 V 2. The condition of the insulating bushings of the bed fastening bolts is checked visually
All Types Interphase traction of disconnectors and earthing switches The rods must have insulating inserts or other elements that exclude the formation of a short-circuited circuit. By visual inspection

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

Fujitsu Driver Drowsiness Detection System 28.01.2015

The operation of most existing or planned driver fatigue recognition systems is based on the use of video cameras and (or) special infrared sensors. Such complexes follow the face of a motorist, analyzing the position of the eyes, nose, mouth and other parts of the face, as well as tracking the features of blinking. When a low level of concentration or signs of falling asleep is detected, an alarm is given.

Now Fujitsu has introduced its own development, the task of which is to determine the drowsiness of motorists. The system, called FEELythm, has been in development for approximately 10 years.

The main component of FEELythm is a neck-worn block. A special sensor attached to the earlobe departs from it. The system measures the pulse wave and transmits the obtained data to a mobile device, such as a smartphone (probably, an on-board computer can also perform this function) via Bluetooth wireless communication.

The accompanying software analyzes information using special algorithms, identifying signs of falling asleep. If a high probability of drowsiness is detected, FEELythm will give a warning signal - say, in the form of a vibration of the neck module.

Fujitsu notes that the system provides a means of correcting indicators for the physiological characteristics of specific drivers. Deliveries of FEELythm are scheduled to begin in February.
