1.8.18. 1. Electromagnetic voltage transformers.

1.1. Measurement of winding insulation resistance.

The insulation resistance of the HV winding of voltage transformers is measured with a megohmmeter for a voltage of 2500 V.

The insulation resistance of the secondary windings, as well as the connecting windings of cascade voltage transformers, is measured with a megohmmeter for a voltage of 1000 V.

The measured insulation resistance values must be no less than those given in table. 1.8.15.

1.2. Test with increased voltage frequency 50 Hz.

Testing the insulation of the HV winding with increased voltage at a frequency of 50 Hz is carried out for voltage transformers with insulation of all terminals of the HV winding of these transformers at the rated voltage.

The values of the test voltage of the main insulation are given in table. 1.8.15.

Duration of testing of voltage transformers - 1 min.

The value of the test voltage for insulating the secondary windings together with the circuits connected to them is assumed to be 1 kV.

The duration of the test voltage application is 1 min.

1.3. Measurement of winding resistance to direct current.

The DC winding resistance is measured at the connecting windings of cascade voltage transformers.

The deviation of the measured DC winding resistance from the rated value or from that measured on other phases should not exceed 2%. When comparing the measured value with the nameplate data, the measured resistance value must be reduced to the factory test temperature. When comparing with other phases, measurements on all phases must be carried out at the same temperature.

1.4. Testing of transformer oil.

When commissioning voltage transformers, the oil must be tested in accordance with the requirements of Table 1.8.32, paragraphs 1-6.

For oil-filled cascade voltage transformers, the condition of the oil in individual stages is assessed according to standards corresponding to the operating voltage of the stage.

2. Capacitive voltage transformers.

2.1. Testing capacitors of voltage dividers.

Voltage divider capacitors are tested in accordance with the requirements of Section 1.8.27.

2.2. Measuring the insulation resistance of an electromagnetic device.

The measurement of the insulation resistance of the windings is carried out with a megohmmeter for 2500 V.

The insulation resistance should not differ from that indicated in the passport by more than 30% for the worse, but be at least 300 MOhm.

2.3. Testing an electromagnetic device with increased voltage at a frequency of 50 Hz.

The insulation of the secondary windings of the electromagnetic device is subjected to tests.

Test voltage - 1,8 kV.

Duration of voltage application - 1 min.

2.4. Measurement of winding resistance to direct current.

During commissioning, the DC winding resistance is measured at all positions of the switching device.

The measured values, normalized to temperature during factory tests, should not differ from those indicated in the passport by more than 5%.

2.5. Measurement of current and no-load losses.

Current and no-load losses are measured at voltages specified in the factory documentation.

The measured values should not differ from those indicated in the passport by more than 10%.

2.6. Testing transformer oil from an electromagnetic device.

The value of the breakdown voltage of the oil must be at least 30 kV.

When commissioning, fresh dry transformer oil for filling (topping up) the electromagnetic device must be tested in accordance with the requirements of Table 1.8.33, paragraphs 1-6.

2.7. Testing valve arresters.

Carried out according to the instructions of section 1.8.31.

Table 1.8.15. Insulation resistance of voltage transformers

Voltage class, kV Permissible insulation resistance, MOhm, not less
Basic insulation Secondary windings* Link windings*
3-35 100 50 (1) 1
110-500 300 50 (1) 1

* Insulation resistances of the secondary windings are given:

  • without brackets - when secondary circuits are off;
  • in brackets - together with connected secondary circuits.

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

QR codes on Moscow street signs 23.01.2014

Moscow schoolchildren will be involved in compiling descriptions of city streets on the Discover Moscow portal. Artyom Yermolaev, Head of the Department of Information Technologies, spoke about this today at a meeting in the Government of Moscow.

To date, by order of the city, it has collected information about 860 historical buildings, more than half of them are equipped with special signs in the form of plates with a QR code. Having scanned the information on the tablet, the user of the mobile device follows the link to the description of the monument on this portal, CNews was told in the Department of Information Technologies of Moscow.

Scanning information can be done using the mobile application of the same name, created within the framework of the project. In addition, the user can use the augmented reality function - when you point the camera at a building, text information with its description appears next to it.

Among other features of the resource, one can also note the ability to create and print a guide booklet by adding objects of interest, as well as the ability to create your own walking route in Moscow using the route editor.

More than 90 mobile device users have already used city travel apps
The portal is a joint project of the Departments of Cultural Heritage and Information Technology. Descriptions of buildings and streets on the portal are accompanied by photographs and an audio guide.
