ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Section 1 General Rules Norms of acceptance tests. General provisions Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Rules for the installation of electrical installations (PUE) 1.8.1. Electrical equipment up to 500 kV, newly put into operation, must be subjected to acceptance tests in accordance with the requirements of this chapter. Acceptance tests are recommended to be carried out under normal environmental conditions specified in state standards. When conducting acceptance tests of electrical equipment not covered by these standards, the instructions of the manufacturers should be followed. 1.8.2. Relay protection and electroautomatic devices at power plants and substations are checked according to the instructions approved in the prescribed manner. 1.8.3. In addition to the tests provided for in this chapter, all electrical equipment shall be tested for mechanical operation in accordance with factory and installation instructions. 1.8.4. The conclusion about the suitability of the equipment for operation is given on the basis of the results of all tests and measurements related to this piece of equipment. 1.8.5. All measurements, tests and trials in accordance with the current regulatory and technical documents, instructions of manufacturers and these standards, carried out by the personnel of installation and commissioning organizations immediately before the commissioning of electrical equipment, must be drawn up by the relevant acts and / or protocols. 1.8.6. The test with increased voltage of industrial frequency is mandatory for electrical equipment for voltages up to 35 kV. In the absence of the necessary AC test equipment, it is allowed to test electrical equipment of switchgears with voltage up to 20 kV with increased rectified voltage, which should be equal to one and a half times the value of the industrial frequency test voltage. 1.8.7. Electrical equipment and insulators for a rated voltage exceeding the rated voltage of the electrical installation in which they are operated may be tested with the applied voltage established for the insulation class of this electrical installation. Measurement of insulation resistance, if there are no additional instructions, is carried out:
High voltage testing of insulators and current transformers connected to 6-10 kV power cables can be carried out together with the cables. The condition is assessed according to the standards adopted for power cables. 1.8.8. Tests of electrical equipment manufactured by foreign companies are carried out in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer. In this case, the values of the quantities to be checked must correspond to those specified in this chapter. 1.8.9. Testing the insulation of devices with increased voltage of industrial frequency should be carried out, as a rule, together with testing the insulation of the switchgear busbars (without busbars). In this case, the test voltage can be taken according to the standards for equipment with the lowest test voltage. 1.8.10. When carrying out several types of insulation tests for electrical equipment, the test with increased voltage must be preceded by other types of its tests. 1.8.11. An insulation test with a power frequency voltage of 1 kV can be replaced by measuring a one-minute value of the insulation resistance with a megohmmeter at 2500 V. If the obtained resistance value is less than that given in the norms, a test with a power frequency of 1 kV is mandatory. 1.8.12. The following terms are used in this chapter: 1. Power frequency test voltage - the effective value of the voltage with a frequency of 50 Hz, almost sinusoidal, which the insulation of electrical equipment must withstand under certain test conditions. 2. Electrical equipment with normal insulation - electrical equipment intended for use in electrical installations subject to lightning surges under normal lightning protection measures. 3. Electrical equipment with lightweight insulation - electrical equipment intended for use in electrical installations not subject to lightning surges or equipped with special lightning protection devices that limit the amplitude value of lightning surges to a value not exceeding the amplitude value of the industrial frequency test voltage. 4. Apparatus - switches of all voltage classes, disconnectors, separators, short-circuiters, fuses, arresters, current-limiting reactors, capacitors, complete screened conductors. 5. Non-normalized measured value - a value, the absolute value of which is not regulated by normative instructions. In this case, the assessment of the state of the equipment is carried out by comparison with the data of similar measurements on the same type of equipment, which has obviously good characteristics, or with the results of other tests. 6. Voltage class of electrical equipment - the rated voltage of the electrical installation for which this electrical equipment is intended to operate.
