Intelligent phones with AON "Rus" of various versions have the function of "answering machine", however, for its implementation in most devices, an additional installation of the so-called "voice" board is required. In addition, the installation of the board must be carried out by a specialist, and this is not always feasible. Slightly altering any transistor tape recorder, you can use the "answering machine" function without any intervention in the telephone set. In this case, the recording time depends only on the capacity of the cassette (in the "voice" card, the recording time is calculated in tens of seconds).

The proposed device has a high input impedance and practically does not affect the operation of the telephone line.

An automation board is installed in the tape recorder, assembled according to the scheme shown in the figure.

Answering machine in telephones with caller ID

Zener diode VD1, resistor R1 and transistor VT1 form a telephone line status sensor. When the tube is on-hook, the voltage in the line is 60 V. The zener diode VD1 opens, the transistor VT1 is open, VT2 is closed, relay K1 is de-energized, the power supply circuit of the tape recorder is broken.

When a call is received in the telephone set, the "auto-lift" mode is activated, the voltage in the line drops to 8 ... 10 V. Transistor VT1 closes, VT2 opens, relay K1 is activated and with its contacts K1.1 connects the power circuit of the tape recorder, which is constantly on for recording. The sound signal from the line through the capacitor C1 and the trimmer resistor R5 is fed to the recording input of the tape recorder. In imported tape recorders that do not have input connectors, the signal can be fed in parallel with the built-in microphone. Diodes VD4, VD5 limit the voltage during a call.

In the tape recorder, you need to break the power circuit and turn on the relay contacts in the gap. Additional switch SA1 is designed to listen to records. The HL1 LED indicates the mode of switching on the set-top box.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Europe in sulfuric acid 15.01.2000

Great hopes were pinned on one of the satellites of Jupiter - Europa. Pictures from the US spacecraft "Galileo" showed that the planet is covered by the ocean. On its surface is an ice crust with intersecting cracks. There was an assumption that some primitive life could exist in the depths of the ocean. And some enthusiasts even saw roads or pipelines laid by intelligent beings in the pattern of cracks. Now, however, those hopes appear to have been dashed. The same "Galileo" received infrared spectra, which indicate the presence of fairly concentrated sulfuric acid on Europa.

Selecting in the laboratory various aqueous solutions that give an infrared spectrum closest to that obtained with Galileo, American scientists discovered that a solution of sulfuric acid gives such a picture. Where does it come from?

According to one hypothesis, it is thrown out from the depths of Europe by underwater volcanoes, according to another, sulfur ions come from space, from the neighboring satellite of Jupiter - Io. It has huge volcanoes that emit sulfurous gases. Sulfur ions from Io's upper atmosphere can be picked up by Jupiter's magnetic field and brought to Europa.

As the authors of the discovery point out, if a research probe is sent to Europe, as planned, it will have to be covered with a layer of gold - otherwise the sulfuric acid will corrode.
