I was convinced by myself of the merits of "live" (treatment of the common cold, tonsillitis) and "dead" (polyarthritis) water. However, if tap water (chlorinated) is used, then during processing it boils and forms a brown-green foam (mineral salts + chlorine), one type of which is capable of "drowning" the idea in the bud [1]. True, immediately dividing the water into fractions ("living" and "dead"), you can filter each separately and get rid of this foam, but still this raises doubts about the quality of the water obtained.

To do without foam, it is better to use well or mineral water (not carbonated) and, in extreme cases, boiled (cooled and filtered) tap water. You fall sediment - a normal phenomenon. For storage, the water must settle (in separate vessels), after which it must be carefully slept. It is best to store ready-made water in the refrigerator. The method itself, in principle, excludes the use of distilled or rain (snow) water, since it does not contain dissolved salts.

To obtain "live" and "dead" water by electrolysis, a current of 5 mA is sufficient. Therefore, the installation can be powered from the mains (Fig. 1a), batteries (Fig. 1b) or galvanic cells (Fig. 1 c). Quenching capacitors C1.C2 (Fig. 1 a) are used types K73-17, K40U-9 or BMT-2. Capacitors can be replaced with a single resistor (43 kOhm, 2,2 W).

The constructive use of the device is shown in Fig.2. It uses a "defective" ("unacceptable") glass jar 9 with a capacity of 1 liter with a suitable lid 1. To fasten the bag 4 with "dead" (*+") water, "crocodiles" 3 are used. Bag 4 can be replaced with a glass of burnt, 8 cover 1 is provided with holes 6, which allows you to pour water into the assembled device alternately (first at the positive, then at the negative electrode) through a watering can and ensures the release of gases generated during electrolysis. The top cover 2 protects against accidental contact with high-voltage circuits .

The spacer 7 is necessary so that the polyethylene cover 1 does not bend when the fingers are pressed on the "crocodiles" 3. The cover 2 is also attached to it with a screw. stainless steel" (from the tank of an old washing machine).

Holes 6 are first dug with an awl, and then "flared" [3, 4] with a heated soldering iron with a fluoroplastic tube put on the tip. After warming up, the soldering iron tip is removed from the fluoroplastic tube held by the tweezers. which ensures the formation of the edges of the holes in the cover 1 when the softened polyethylene cools.

The circuit (Fig. 1 a) is mounted on petals 8.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Quantum computers for data processing 10.08.2013

Finding patterns in large datasets is a task for which quantum computers can be used for the foreseeable future, says physicist Seth Lloyd.

Automated search for patterns in large data sets is a task that belongs to the field of machine learning. "The advantages (of machine learning methods) are that you can find patterns without (manually) analyzing individual records in a dataset. If, for example, we are talking about identifying patterns in transcripts of human DNA, they can be searched for in such a way that each individual the record, for example, your own, remains safe," Lloyd explained. Now he is developing such a machine learning algorithm for a quantum computer.

"Searching for patterns in data - I think this is a task for which they (quantum computers) will soon be useful," said Seth Lloyd from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) at the presentation of the Russian translation of his book "Programming the Universe ", held in the framework of the second international conference on quantum technologies.

"(So far, quantum computers have been mainly used) to model and understand how other quantum systems work. We don't understand how quantum systems work very well, but we understand them enough to build a quantum computer that will help us understand them better. This, I think their main use at the present time," explained the physicist.

One of the largest scientific forums in the history of modern Russia, the second international conference on quantum technologies was recently held in Moscow. The conference was organized by the Russian Quantum Center with the support of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the city of Moscow and RVC OJSC.
