ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Device for searching for biologically active points. Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Electronics in medicine For drug-free correction of the state of the body, methods of stimulation of biologically active points (BAP) are widely used. or acupuncture points. Difficulties in the application of these methods arise due to the difficulty of finding BAPs on the human body, since the BAP area does not exceed 1 mm2. By controlling the resistance of the skin areas in the places where BAPs are supposed to be located by the proposed device, it is possible to find them easily and unambiguously. The device is housed in a metal case measuring 96x38x39 mm. The housing contains the electrical circuit, battery and switch. An insulator of the active search electrode is fixed on one end side of the body, and indication LEDs are on the other side. The passive electrode is a metal case, which is held in the hand when searching for BAPs. Figure 1 shows a diagram of the device. An active search electrode is connected to the inverting input of the comparator DA1. Resistor R1 determines the input impedance of the device, capacitor C1 serves to filter interference, resistor R2 limits the current of indicator LEDs HL1...HL3. The variable resistor R4 regulates the voltage supplied to the human body (through the fingers holding the device case). Resistors R3 and R5 limit the voltage variation. The voltage between the search and passive electrodes is not more than 5 V, the current is not more than 0,5 μA. The current consumption of the device in standby mode is 1 mA. and if the LEDs are lit - 5 ... 6 mA. The device is made on a printed circuit board, the drawing of which is shown in Fig.2. It contains all the details, except for the LEDs and the battery. The board is designed to use a variable resistor SPZ-9a, it is installed on the board on a L-shaped bracket. Near the handle of the resistor, you can stick a scale (for example, from 10 divisions). The remaining resistors are of the MLT type, the power button is the MP-7 microswitch, the LEDs are AL307B. The device is powered by the Krona battery. The design of the search electrode allows you to normalize its pressure on the skin surface. The drawing of the insulator with the search electrode installed in it is shown in Fig.3. The insulator is made of organic glass, ebonite or fluoroplastic, and the pin from the ShR connector (02 mm) is best suited for the electrode. These connectors have silver-plated pins. For the convenience of finding points on the surface of the head, back or legs. it is better to make one of the LEDs remote and connect it to the body with wires 0,5 ... 1 m long. If BAT is searched for on a visible area of the skin. then after finding the point, you can lightly press on the electrode. Then a clearly visible imprint of the insulator will remain on the surface of the skin, the center of which will be the desired BAP. Author: Yu.Plotnikov, Novosibirsk.
