The "Meow" generator contains a low-frequency generator of rectangular pulses with a frequency of 0,2-0,3 Hz, which controls a sinusoidal generator of 600-800 Hz.

Meow generator

The first generator is assembled on transistors V1 and V2 according to the scheme of an asymmetric multivibrator. Rectangular pulses generated by this generator charge capacitor C5 through resistor R3, which supplies a bias voltage to transistor V3. An RC oscillator is assembled on transistor V3, which, under the influence of a control bias voltage, produces oscillations damped in amplitude with a frequency of 800 Hz. The audio frequency amplifier is assembled on a V4 transistor.

Establishing the generator is reduced to the selection of capacitor C3 (to correctly simulate the sound "meow"), capacitors C1 and C2 (to set the pause between sounds), resistors R5 and R8 (to set the tone of the sound), capacitors C4, C5, resistors R6 and R7 (for adjusting the pitch). The sound source is a telephone primer of the type DEM-4M, DEMSH-1.

Transformer Tp1 - matching from any transistor receiver or home-made with the following data: primary winding 450 x 2 turns of PEL wire 0,04 (DC resistance 700 Ohm), secondary winding - 100 turns of PEL wire 0,23 (R = 2,3 Ohm ) on the magnetic circuit Ш4 x 8. Power supply - battery "Krona" with a voltage of 9 V.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Feelreal device will complement VR helmets with an odor generator 13.03.2015

Feelreal is designing a device that will allow you to recreate smells as well as temperature sensations when wearing virtual reality helmets.

The Feelreal gadget is a special block that is fixed under the VR helmet and covers the lower part of the user's face. Small air blowers, heating elements, a vibration motor and a microphone are built inside. Power is provided by an integrated rechargeable battery, and a Bluetooth connection is used to communicate with the helmet.

The generation of odors is carried out thanks to a replaceable cartridge with special aromatic components. In the current version, the possibility of developing the smells of the ocean, jungle, fire, grass, gunpowder, flowers and metal is declared.

Feelings from exposure to a particular flavor are enhanced by creating a temperature effect. For example, heating elements will be activated near the fire, and cooling fans will work near the water. Plus vibrations can be added to this.

However, observers say that wearing a Feelreal device is a controversial experience. The gadget covers the entire face, and the air enters only through the vents. This can not only provoke fear, but also cause an attack of suffocation. Although there will certainly be fans of the novelty if it appears on the market.
