Fixing work performed in several ways. When fixing needs to be carried out quickly, alabaster solutions are used. The setting time of the alabaster solution can be adjusted by adding a retarder or setting accelerator to the water during its preparation.

Cement mortars are also used - then the fixing time increases, since the setting of some brands of cement occurs after 12 hours. In damp and especially damp rooms, fastening with cement mortar gives the best results.

A promising method compared to others is gluing network elements to building bases with adhesives made of polymeric materials. This method allows you to abandon the punching work, construction and assembly guns. When installing electrical wiring with wires of the APRV, PRV, APN, PPV, APPV brands, VRG, AVRG, NRG, ANRG cables with a cross section of conductors up to 16 mm2 and ground strips, it is recommended to use BMK-5K adhesive. It includes 180 parts (by weight) of BMK-5 resin, 420 parts of acetone and 400 parts of kaolin.

To attach the fasteners, a special glue KNE-2/60 (kumarno-anirite electrotechnical) is also used. It has good adhesion to metal, concrete, brick, ceramic, wood, plastic (except polyethylene and fluoroplastic) substrates, has high impact strength, cold resistance and resistance to sudden temperature changes (from -20 to 20 °C). Surfaces must be free of whitewash and paint. The glue is applied with a spatula to the surfaces to be glued in such a way that the total adhesive layer is no more than 1 mm. After exposure (1-3 minutes), the surfaces are glued. Widely used in electrical practice fastening with expansion dowels. The most common are plastic and steel dowels with a spacer nut. The industry produces plastic dowels of U656UZ-U678UZ types.

Electrical products used for fastening wires, pipes and cables

For fastening wires, pipes and cables to building bases and structures, staples K142U2-K145U2 and K729U2-K.731U2 are used. They are used for fastening one wire or cable with a diameter of 27-48 mm for K142U2-K145U2 brackets and with a diameter of 12-20 mm for K729U2-K731U2 brackets. Staples can be with two or one paws.

Strips and buckles are used to fasten wires and cables to building bases. The strips are produced in lengths of 120 mm (type K404UHL2) and 180 mm (type K405UHL2). Buckle strips are used to fasten bundles of wires to various structures. Strip buckles are produced with a length of 110 mm (type K395UHL2), 90 mm (type K396UHL2), 70 mm (type K397UHL2), 50 mm (K398UHL2).

Instead, you can use strips of galvanized iron (tin cans) or thin sheet aluminum. To secure wires and cables using such strips, their ends should be folded.

For fastening wires and cables with a cross section of up to 6 mm2, spring clips are used. They are used for open wiring.

For fastening wires to building structures during the installation of open electrical wiring, pipe clamps are used. To fasten the wires of open internal wiring, plastic or porcelain rollers are used.

The wires are tied to the rollers with soft galvanized steel wire with a diameter of 0,6-0,8 mm. In places of attachment to the rollers, the wire is wrapped with insulating tape.

In accordance with the markup, fasteners are installed - fittings for hanging ceiling lights (Fig. 29).

Traffic noise delays the growth of chicks 06.05.2024

The sounds that surround us in modern cities are becoming increasingly piercing. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. The researchers also found that the negative effects of noise pollution extend into the adult birds. Reduced chances of reproduction and decreased fertility indicate the long-term effects that traffic noise has on wildlife. The study results highlight the need ... >>

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Infineon MIPAQ Pro Intelligent Power Builds 04.10.2018

Infineon's MIPAQ Pro family is a fully tested and qualified power assembly consisting of IGBT modules located on a liquid or air cooler, power switch drivers, sensors, digital controls and Modbus communications. The configuration of the connection of power switches inside the assemblies - half-bridge, operating voltage 1200 V and 1700 V. At the moment, versions are available with a rated current of 2400 A, with air and liquid cooling. It is also planned to expand the MIPAQ Pro line with 1800 A assemblies with two cooling options.

The concept of MIPAQ Pro intelligent power assemblies allows you to easily connect up to 4 units in parallel, thus simplifying the scalability of the converter. In parallel operation, the Master-Slave concept is applied, which greatly simplifies the implementation of such a connection. In this case, only Master MIPAQ Pro is connected to the control system. The assemblies have a relatively low weight and a simple system for connecting to the control and diagnostic interface (the connector is horizontally oriented and located inside the unit dimensions, which allows efficient use of space when building the converter), so the installation of the power unit can be done by just one person.

The basis for the reliability of the power blocks are the 4th generation IGBT chips, as well as TIM (Thermal Interface Material) and PressFIT technologies from Infineon. Power assemblies are equipped with a wide range of protection and diagnostic functions. With the help of sensors, current, voltage and data from NTC are controlled. Based on this data, the static and dynamic losses for the IGBT and the diode are calculated. Further, using this information, as well as the matrix of time-dependent values Zth, the temperature of the pn junction of the IGBT and the diode is calculated. This innovative method of monitoring the parameters of the converter allows you to expand the area of safe operation, including operation at its very borders at TVJ=150 °C. Protection levels can be configured by the user.

Features of the MIPAQ Pro line:

high integration (completed power assembly);
a wide range of diagnostic functions and protections;
calculation of TVJ temperature in real time;
control and diagnostics via Modbus;
the possibility of parallel operation of up to 4 assemblies;
security chip to identify the OPTIGA Trust family.
