The main purpose of this device is to reduce the level of various noises in the telephone line, with which it does an excellent job. Transformer T1 is designed for highly efficient filtering of high-frequency interference. This allows you to successfully resist the occurrence of interference due to the operation of electrical household appliances and such an unpleasant phenomenon as the interference of parasitic radio broadcast interference. The plot of the circuit, assembled on passive elements R1, C1 - R2, C2, is intended for frequency correction of the input signal. Transformer T2 performs the function of a passive amplifier of a useful signal.

Modem Filter

Transformer T1 contains 2 independent windings of 7 turns each, wound on a ferrite ring strictly symmetrically, i.e. Both windings are wound roughly speaking clockwise. The wire is varnished, 0,4 - 0.5 mm in diameter. Resistance R1, R2 - 10..50 Ohm, which is determined empirically and depends on the length of the line from the ATC to your telephone socket, in which the modem is turned on. Capacitors C1, C2 - 0.1 uF.

Transformer T2 contains 2 independent windings of 30-60 turns each, wound on a ferrite ring strictly asymmetrically, i.e. the windings are wound in different directions. The wire is lacquered, approximately 0,4 - 0.5mm in diameter. Try to place transformers T1 and T2 away from each other - this will improve the overall performance of the device. Ferrite rings of transformers of any size and permeability.

All parts of the filter are located on a printed circuit board with dimensions of 82x19 mm; modern telephone jacks, which are also located on the board, are used as input and output.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Refueling at home 23.10.2002

About 200 natural gas vehicles run on the roads of North America. Gas is cheaper than gasoline and produces much less harmful emissions. However, there are not enough gas stations, and a car travels only about 300 kilometers from one gas station.

Canadian firm Fuelmaker has developed a unit the size of a small refrigerator that plugs into a home's gas mains and a regular electrical outlet. The installation increases the gas pressure from domestic, about two atmospheres, to a pressure suitable for filling a cylinder of 200-250 atmospheres. To drive two eight-kilometer trips (which is the typical distance that the average American travels to work), you need to pump gas for half an hour, and overnight you can fill up for a longer trip.

Gas is currently used primarily by taxis and minibuses in America, and the creation of a home gas station, the firm hopes, will encourage private car owners to switch to this fuel. There is enough gas: even if 10 million cars are transferred to it, this will increase gas consumption in North America by only 5 percent.
