The described device is designed for installation on a motorcycle or scooter and is intended to signal the driver about the serviceability of the rear red light lamp at night or about the burnout of this lamp, which is fraught with a traffic accident in the form of a rear collision.

The schematic diagram of the device is shown in the figure.

Rear light monitoring

Diode VD1 is connected in series with the rear lamp EL1. When the lamp is turned on with the SA1 toggle switch, the lamp current, passing through the diode, creates a voltage drop across it, which is enough to unlock the transistor VT1 and put it into saturation. Due to this, the bases of both transistors VT2 and VT3 are connected to a common bus. As a result, the transistor VT2 is closed, and VT3 opens, providing its emitter current with the glow of the green LED HL1. Resistor R2 limits the current of the LED to the allowable one.

When the tail lamp burns out, there is no current through the diode VD1, the transistor VT1 is locked, as a result of which the base current of the transistor VT1 flows through the resistor R2, with which it is unlocked. The emitter current VT2 lights up the red LED HL2. Resistor R3 limits the LED current. In this case, the HL1 LED is off, since it is shunted by an open transistor VT2.

A printed circuit board with the arrangement of circuit elements on it is shown in the figure.

Rear light monitoring

As transistors VT1 and VT2, you can use KT315, and as VT3 - KT361 with any letter index. The resistances of resistors R2 and R3 are selected during adjustment to obtain sufficient brightness of the LEDs.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

LG DVLED Extreme Home Cinema 325" TV 21.09.2021

LG has unveiled a new family of DVLED Extreme Home Cinema TVs, with a flagship $325 million 8-inch 1,7K TV.

New TVs received screens based on Direct View LED technology, in which miniature LEDs are responsible for creating an image. LG promises that the new TVs will last at least 100 thousand hours, providing a high-quality high-contrast picture.

The LG DVLED Extreme Home Cinema line includes nine models at once with an aspect ratio of 16:9 or 32:9. The base option is a 108-inch HD 2K TV that starts at $70.

Versions from 163 to 393 inches have a 4K screen, while the top 325-inch TV supports 8K resolution. To purchase it, you will have to shell out $1,7 million.

The manufacturer warns that during operation, the giant screen generates a huge amount of heat and requires an efficient air conditioning system.
