Origin: From an article (1861) by democratic writer Nikolai Gavrilovich Chernyshevsky (1828-1889) dedicated to G. Kare's book "Political and Economic Letters to the President of the United States of America". In this article, N. G. Chernyshevsky wrote: “The historical path is not the sidewalk of Nevsky Prospekt, it goes entirely through the fields, sometimes dusty, sometimes dirty, sometimes through swamps, sometimes through the wilds. take up social activities.
